The resort of Pas De La Casa has many ski and snowboard rental shops with all kinds of equipment at varying prices. The shops normally have 3 styles of equipment, standard, superior and competition. Depending on your level of skiing or snowboarding, this should determine the style you choose. All skis nowadays are carving skis. These skis make skiing much easier and much more fun. Carving skis are wider at the tip and tail, and thin at the waist. This allows you to control your turns much better.

The chart below indicates the style of ski you should take for your ability.

Standard Equipment
This style of equipment varies from shop to shop. Normally this style has been used for 3-4 ski seasons. The standard style of ski should still be a carving ski. The standard ski is the cheapest style available to hire. 

Superior Equipment
This category offers more up to date equipment. The equipment is either new at the start of that season, or has been used for only 1-2 seasons but keep in immaculate condition. Normally is not too expensive to hire.

Competition Equipment
This is the best equipment available. This equipment is made for a specific purpose – racing, slalom, freestyle, or off-piste. Normally only used by the very experienced skier. Very expensive to hire as it is the best equipment available.
